Recently noted an incident in a Cpanel server which has Apache and Litespeed. The issue is some sites showing internal Server error when switched back to Apache from Litespeed. There may be ‘n’ number of reasons for that but one of them is explained below:
Since the error is Internal server which is Apache related error, so obviously we need to check in /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log. You may see the following errors in it:
[Tue Jul 14 01:23:11 2015] [error] [client 220.127.116.11] ParsingException in Configuration.cpp:163: Unknown option “full_php_process_display” in section [global]
[Tue Jul 14 01:23:11 2015] [error] [client 18.104.22.168] Premature end of script headers: index.php
[Tue Jul 14 01:23:11 2015] [error] [client 22.214.171.124] File does not exist: /home/serveri2/public_html/500.shtml
Here the thing to be noticed is “ParsingException in Configuration.cpp:163: Unknown option “full_php_process_display” in section [global]”.
While switching from Litespeed over to Apache, it will stop the Litespeed, and rebuild the apache configuration and starts Apache. Due to some issues, you may have some issues with rebuilding your Apache configuration.
These should be helping you. Try any of these steps:
If it didn’t fix the problem, run the EasyApache script ot fix it.
The sites will work like a charm with Apache running. Please note that you may need to repeat this every time you switch from Litespeed to Apache. So try your level best not to switch between Litespeed and Apache uneccessarily.
All is well, Thank you.
